Profile
Paul J. Schatz has been the senior legal assistant at Rosenberg Fortuna & Laitman, LLP since the predecessor firm’s inception in 1992. Mr. Schatz assists in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions including negotiation; preparation and review of contracts and purchase agreements; title reports; mortgage commitments; mortgages and notes and related loan documents; and commercial and residential leases. Mr. Schatz attends and assists counsel at commercial and residential closings. He interacts extensively with clients and counsel and assists in all aspects of commercial and real estate related litigation, as well as trial preparation and assisting during trial.
Mr. Schatz handles the formation of general and limited partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies, and prepares the appropriate minute books and organizational documents.
Previously, Mr. Schatz was the senior legal assistant and paralegal supervisor at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP from 1984 to 1992. There his management duties included supervision and training of support staff and new associates for the real estate and litigation departments. Mr. Schatz served as legal assistant in the patent, trademark and corporate departments of a New York City law firm from 1983 to 1984.

Mr. Schatz is a member of the National Association of Paralegal Professionals, the Long Island Paralegal Association, and has been a member of the Practicing Law Institute.
